When we first heard that Peter Madoff was selling his 5-bedroom English manor house for over $6 million, we were a little horrified. Who on earth wants to hand over $6.5 million to anyone with the last name Madoff? Then we saw that all proceeds are going to victims of the Ponzi scheme. Does that make buying the house a charitable act? Not quite. But it's a start.
